Ako/Misaje Special Constituency in Donga Mantung, a special creation of President Paul Biya has been advised to avoid derailment by adventurers.
The appeal came on the heels of the recent social unrest that rocked the nation with Ako/ Misaje refusing to be part of the violence and vandalism that reigned elsewhere. Dr. Fuh Calistus Gentry, Secretary of State and CPDM Central Committee leader to Donga Mantung IV, Misaje section took the message to the population during the 23rd anniversary of the ruling party. The message was straight with Dr. Fuh Calistus explaining that the February 2008 strike action was unnecessary at a time when Cameroon is at the verge of an economic break through. He told the population that investors are sensitive to unstable environments and Cameroon should not be seen as the nation where people break. The CPDM C.C leader convinced militants to stand by moves to revise the nation's constitution because even old democracies like Britain are not subjected to limitation of terms and that it is why it is in the interest of the nation and citizens to proceed with the revision and other initiatives to revise the Mining code.
Ako/ Misaje people were cheered for the wise decision to choose the CPDM during the 2007 twin elections because the fall outs have been immediate with the promotion of their sons. It was also time for the area to count blessings with Dr.Fuh announcing the procurement of electricity for Ako and Misaje, on-the-spot scholarships to students of GTC Misaje worth over CFA 400.000 and a prize giving ceremony for all the secondary schools in both sub divisions. The Secretary of State also traveled to Ako with an impressive CFA 500.000 to reinforce and keep the Ako Fons Union active. He also had a welcome message with revelations about the efficiency bonus conceived by the government to reward Fons who rise to expectation as promoters of peace and education within fondoms. Another giant scholarship scheme was introduced to encourage Ako/ Misaje Sub division produce the highest enrolment in schools and qualify for more educational facilities as well as Community libraries to instill a reading culture in inhabitants. Youths of the area were also introduced to projects and schemes that take the nation forward in poverty alleviation.
A marathon and a solidarity March on the streets of Misaje dropped curtains on anniversary celebrations with militants going beyond a commitment to stand by the constitutional revision and declared intentions to have Paul Biya as their Candidate during future Presidential elections while Dr Fhu Calistus and their Mp, Hon Ntoi committed to continue negotiating development for the special constituency.
