A member of the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) and chairman of premier league side, Jigawa Stars football club,Dr.Alili Galadima says Nigeria can do without a foreign coach.

Alili Galadima made the remarks while chating with Leadership Sports in Bauchi, where he said the country is fully blessed with talented coaches that can handle the senior national team, the Super Eagles without relying on any foreign technical adviser to do the job.

He said presently, the nations soccer governing body has interviewed about 11 indigenous coaches with the intention of picking the best to handle the Super Eagles, ahead of future competitions.

He stated that Amodu Shuaibu is among the top 11 coaches interviewed by the technical committee of the NFA and very soon the board will announce the Eagles coach.He added, that the football house will support whoever emerges as the new coach.

He commended the organisational aspect of the premier league in the country,where best teams in the country are competing to select the country's representatives in the next year's continental competition.

Dr. Alili Galadima urged sports writers to always cross check their facts before rushing to press.He cited an example where some papers are publishing that his team, Jigawa has 29 points instead of 32 as at last weekend.

He explained that his team has all the necessary backing of the state governor as presently, he has released the sum of N500million as part payment for the construction of a new stadium in Dutse that would enable them play all their home matches in Jigawa.

Alili pointed out that since the commencement of this year's premier league in the country, they have been playing away matches as they move from one place to another looking for convenient venue. He however, commended the good people of Bauchi state for providing them with necessary support since their relocation to Bauchi where they have been playing their home matches.
