Angolan minister of Hotels and Tourism, Eduardo Jonatão Chingunji Wednesday here urged national and international investors to be more daring, entrepreneurs and innovators, in order to contribute to the development of tourism in the country.

Speaking at the opening of the 3rd Broad Consultative Council of the Hotels and Tourism Ministry, the official added that such attitude will contribute to the reduction of prices in hotels, and will turn the tourism activity more attractive and competitive in the country.

The Tourism Ministry's 3rd Broad Consultative Council, happening since last Wednesday under the motto "Tourism Factor to Fight Poverty and the Commitment to Sustainable Development", is analysing, among other topics, the national tourism policy and the legislation on the sector's activity.

National directors, provincial delegates, technicians and professionals linked to the tourism activity are attending the event.

Among other issues, the meeting aims at analysing the tasks defined by the Tourism Ministry in light of the government's general programme for 2007/2008, as well as outlining the strategies for the implementation of the short-term Tourism Development Plan.
