Angola: President Dos Santos Gets Greetings From Chinese Counterpart

Angolan Head of State José Eduardo dos Santos Thursday here received compliments from his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao.

The message was delivered by the outgoing ambassador of China to Angola, Zhang Beijan, at the end of a meeting with the Angolan Statesman.

The Chinese diplomat said that he had "an excellent talk" with the President of the Republic, adding that the occasion was also seized to make an approach concerning the increment of bilateral cooperation.

"José Eduardo dos Santos pays a great attention to the projects of the credit line granted by the Chinese Government", he stressed.

Zhang Beijan expressed happiness for leaving the African country in a moment that can be visible the socio-economic progresses, above all in national reconstruction, after the achievement of peace and reconciliation.

"It is visible great changes since the establishment of peace in Angola", said Zhang Beijan, who acknowledged that the "everyday life of the population is improving.

The diplomat said that he reminded President José Eduardo dos Santos that his country "pays special attention to cooperation with Angola and it is ready to contribute even further to the national reconstruction.

Zhang Beijan ends his five-year diplomatic mission to Angola, during which the two countries increased their cooperation.
