The deputy governor of the south western Namibe province for the technical sphere, António Correia urged participants to the workshop on public managers, to apply the recently acquired knowledge with view to efficiently manage public funds.

Addressing the event's closing ceremony, which was attended by managers of the provinces Huíla, Namibe and Cunene, António Correia expressed the need to manage efficiently the public resources for the implementation of programmes of the government, in order to meet the population's need.

The seminar enabled the creation of the conditions for managers to improve their performance, based on transparency in the use of the public funds and in settling accounts, said the official.

During the two day-event, the participants analysed about the "Management of property", "Organic law", "Previous and successive inspection", "Budgets and their patrimonial execution" and "Conducting of inventories and contracts of staff admission", among other issues.
