Uganda: Police Ponders Fielding Half-Fit Strikers

Kampala — COACH Sam Timbe is likely to force half recovered strikers Alex Ndugga, Benson Ociti and Noordin Juuko to reinforce a depleted Police FC side against CRO in a Super League match at Namboole today.

The 2005 champions, who were at one time eight points clear on the table, have found themselves in a tight situation, their lead having been reduced to three points by second-placed SC Villa. Villa also have a game in hand.

Police have suffered injuries to most of their front runners and they have struggled to find their opponents' back of the net. They have gone five games without a win, drawing four and losing at home to Iganga Town Council.

Abraham Nega and Henry Kakooza who make part of the long injury list were forced to play in the cops last fixture against Bunamwaya but still had to give way in the second half.

Express, who held DR Congo's AS Vita Club to a goalless draw in the CAF Confederations Cup away in Kinshasa, return to the local scene as they host Iganga at Wankulukuku.

Iganga will approach the match with motivation from their latest 1-0 win over Police at Namboole. Simba yesterday lost 2-1 to relegation-bound Biharwe.
