WHEN Ugandan artistes feel like their lives are in danger or when they want to wade off rival artistes, they hire kanyamas (bodyguards). When singer Eng. Kateregga felt like his sound was being sabotaged, he hired a sound guard.

Tired of malicious DJs and artistes who mess up his sound and CDs while he performs, the Meridah singer recently enlisted the services of acclaimed disc jockey Vito of the Kenya-based Homeboyz Productions.

Vito, who recently received a K- Simba Club Award in Nairobi-Kenya, for Best Spinning DJ, will be doing all the mixing and playing of Kateregga's music at major shows.

We do not know how much he is forking out for Vito's services, but we bet it is no pocket change.
