Eritrea: Ms. Askalu Menkerios Conducts Working Visit to Qatar

The Minister of Labor and Human Welfare, Ms. Askalu Menkerios, conducted an official working visit to Qatar from March 25 to 27 at the invitation of Sheika Muza Binti Nasser, the wife of the Emir of Qatar.

Following talks focusing on relations between Eritrea and Qatar, in the course of Ms. Askalu's visit, an agreement was signed on bilateral cooperation in the domain of labor and human welfare.

In accordance with the agreement, Qatar would cooperate with Eritrea in the rehabilitation of disabled citizens, the needy and orphans, as well as offer university scholarships to Eritrean students.

Moreover, another agreement that would enable Eritrean workers to work in Qatar was signed, the report added. The agreement was signed by Minister Askalu Menkerios on the Eritrean side, and Dr. Sultan Bin Hassan Bin Mubarek Adoseri, Minister of Labor and Human Affairs, on the side of Qatar.
