27 — As a result, of a strike in Shell Gabon, production in the Gamba, Toucan and Rabi oil field have been stopped. All staff in Rabi, with the exception of a very small crew, have gone home. The situation in Gamba and Rabi today is quiet.
The company's priorities for the moment are to maintain a minimum service to avoid interruptions to the provision of electricity to the town of Gamba and the Shell camp and installations.
Discussions are ongoing with ONEP with the help of UPEGA, the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Mines to find acceptable solutions for all.
