It's alleged that instead of administering the food for flood victims the suspect took food for his family.

He was suspended on Tuesday. According to a source, the suspect took food and other items from Ongwediva Trade Fair where the flood victims' items are stored. He took the food after signing for it under the pretence that he would take it to the flood victims at Oshakati Independence Stadium. Food victims in Oshana Region are increasing by the day, a situation that prompted the council to call for assistance from individuals and business people to help with whatever.

Companies and individuals are coming forward donating much needed items to the flood victims, especially food.
