Monrovia

A 19-year-old man was recently arraigned before the Paynesville Magisterial Court to answer charges of water theft, the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC) announced.

According to a release, Nimely Ojuku was arrested by officers of the Liberia National Police following a tip off from people of the Pipe Line Community in Paynesville.

He allegedly stole water from his father-in-law, Samuel Vah Topayan, who is also charged with criminal facilitation.

The arrest of the suspect was the result of LWSC's management appeal to residents to help keep surveillance on its water facilities in and outside Monrovia.
