Liberia: Action Aid Boss Troubled Over Youth Policy

Action Aid Liberia Country Director, Ernest Gaie says the delay by the Liberian government to approve the national youth policy draft document was troublesome and could derail the vision of the young people to contribute to the rebuilding of Liberia.

Speaking at the official launched of the Youth Advocacy and Development Network over the weekend in Caldwell township, Gaie said Liberian youth could only have a clear picture and definite role provided the draft youth policy document was approve for youths to have a well define mandate in decision making process of Liberia.

According to The Action Aid Liberia boss the draft youth policy document was the only working tools for Liberian youths to ably develop a national agenda that would fit in the national developmental and reconstruction of Liberia therefore was appealing to both the Executive and Legislative branches of government to harmonize those problems that were responsible for the delay of the youth policy document being approve.

Addressing youths of the six (6) Township on the left bench of the St. Paul river who are also under the umbrella of YAD- NST, Gale indicated that the Liberian Civic war has rob Liberian youths out of decision making and could only be a part of invitation decision making process when the Liberian
