The coach of the senior ladies handball team of Russia, Evgeny Trefilov considered that the handball practiced in Angola is developing and if it continues as it is, he believes that in the next five years the team might receive a medals international competitions.

Speaking to ANGOP on Thursday at the Three Nations Cup, organised by Denmark, the Russian coach expressed satisfaction at the last results achieved by the African champions at 2007 World Cup of France, in which it occupied the seventh position.

Besides praising the Angolan ladies handball team, Evgeny was also critical towards the performance of the African players in the match against his team, considering that there was lack of determination, concentration, attitude and enthusiasm in order to give good performance to fans present at Vejle Centret pavilion.

The Angolans, who are training for the 2008 Olympics Games of Beijing, lost against Russia, by 15-38 in the last round of the International Handball Tournament, also known as the Three Nations Cup due to the number of participants.
