Angola: Poetess Amélia Da Lomba Releases New Book Today

Angolan poetess and journalist, Amélia da Lomba announced for this Friday, here, the presentation of her new poetry book entitled "Sinal de Mãe nas Estrelas ( Mother's Sign in Stars)".

Without advancing further details regarding this work, which was published in Brazil, the author advanced that the official launching ceremony will count on the presence of the Brazilian writer, Rogério Freitas.

Maria Amélia da Lomba was born on 23 November 1961, in northern Cabinda province, having released, among other various literary works, the books "Ânsia" and "Sacrossanto Refúgio".

A collaborator of the State-run newspaper (Jornal de Angola), where she normally publishes many poetry texts, Mrs da Lomba who is also a member of the Angolan Writers Union, started making a name of her in the 80's.
