Eritrea: Vocational Training Offered to Over 1,000 Youths in Keren

In line with efforts to nurture dynamic youths equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills, different types vocational training have been offered to more than 1,130 youths, out of whom 615 are females, in Keren town. The three-month course included basic journalism, still and video camera shooting, basic computer application and first aid, as well as different physical exercise and body-building.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the Administrator of Anseba region, Ms. Salma Hassan, stressed the significance of nurturing productive youths and called on all government institutions and communities to make increased efforts to this end.

Similarly, the head of the NUEYS in the region, Zeresenai Tesfai, pointed out that the Union is implementing different programs aimed at upgrading the skill of the youth and stressed the need for active participation on the part of all institutions and the public at large.

Ms. Salma Hassan handed certificates to the trainees.
