The deputy minister of Trade of India, Shri Jairam Ramesh arrived this Saturday in Luanda for an official three-day visit, in light of the cooperation relations between the two countries.

Moments after his arrival, the Indian official told ANGOP that he hopes that this visit turns the exiting political and friendship relations into means for the reinforcement of economic cooperation relations between Angola and India.

According to the minister, both countries have been holding contacts in the diamondiferous sector and his arrival aims at re-launching cooperation in this field, since Angola has over 10 percent of the world's diamond production.

To the official, Angola is in a development phase and they wish to support this process, mainly in the mining field.
