Over 4,000 people who will turn 18 until next September and others who for various reasons did not obtain their voting cards during the regular phase and living in Chibia district, may do so in the process' updating phase that starts next Tuesday, ANGOP learnt.

This was informed by the co-ordinator of the Municipal Executive Commission for the Electoral Registration, Joaquim Muambo, who said that this stage shall be made up of two brigades with seven officials each.

Civic education activities are being carried out with the participation of chieftains that, in his opinion, play an important role in mobilising the population.

Chibia district with a population estimated at 131,000 residents, registered 74,200 voters during the first electoral registration phase.
