Angola: Police Commander Optimistic About Finding Live People in Dnic Debris

Luanda — The general commander of the National Police, Ambrosio de Lemos Sunday here said that there is great care in the removal of debris of the building of the National Criminal Investigation Department (DNIC), in order to find people alive, ANGOP learnt.

"The only difficulty is relating to care in the removal of debris, taking into account that there is hope to find people alive. The technology in use demands care it its handling, so that we can retrieve people alive", the general commissioner told the press.

Expressing optimism at finding women alive, soon, commander Ambrosio de Lemos said that machines are already operating in three areas, turning the rescue activities more speedy.

Commenting on DNIC transference of services and workers to other organs of the General Command of the National Police, he explained the works, adding that the corporation has deactivated the fifth division and the 49th police station so as to accommodate the national criminal investigation office and the registration and information department.
