The Foreigners and Migration Services (SME) in eastern Moxico province repatriated, during the first quarter of this year, 30 foreign citizens due to illegal stay in the country, ANGOP learnt this Monday from a press note of this organ.

Among the illegal foreigners, 28 are from the Democratic Republic Congo (DRC), one Zambian and the same number from Namibia.

The press note also explains that the foreigners were repatriated to their countries of origin through the border checkpoints of Luau and Jimbi (Moxico).

In spite of some few tendencies of illegal entries along the border with countries such as DRC and Zambia, the SME considered the border situation "calm and controlled".

According to the note, during the same period authorities registered the entry of 252 people and exit of 359 foreign citizens of different nationalities, through the border posts of DRC (Luau and Caianda) and Zambia (Karipande, Luhuza and Mussuma).
