Monrovia — Officials of the Liberian refugee agency, LRRRC, the Foreign Ministry, the Ghanaian Embassy and the UNHCR are expected to address the March edition of the Edward Wilmot Blyden Forum today at the YMCA in Monrovia.
A release from the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) says the four institutions will speak on the topic: "The state of the Liberian refugees in Ghana amidst the recent standoff between the refugees and the Ghanaian government."
PUL says the forum is intended to provide additional details to the public about the refugee situation and mitigate the seemingly growing sour relations between Liberia and Ghana.
According to the PUL, panelists at the forum include LRRRC Director, Cllr. Wheatonia Dixon-Barnes, Deputy Foreign Minister William Bull, the head of Chancery and acting Ghanaian Ambassador Peter Owusu Mensah and UNHCR Country Director Renata Dubini.
The PUL is appealing to the public to attend today's forum.

My dear brothers and sisters the unity between our two countries is a very long ones. let not us created a bad connerstone between us. the Ghana Government has come up to a decision on the Liberian problems by senting them home. Let ask the UNHCR and the Ghanian Government to allow the once that have family members out side their country, to be help by the UNHCR in resettle them to where soever their family are.those that I quilified to be repatriated back home by the UNHCR,and she also make sure that they are care for at home. You should know that there are some ex-Government official that are on the refugee came that don't thing it is time to come home now with their families.I'm a former soldier of the AFL, and my mother and son's are still living on the refugee camp.I'm trying so that we can be reunited, but it takes time. The UNHCR should give reconciliation to those refugees that fall with in these cases.I wish this should be one of the agender of this problem.May the Almighty Blessed us all.
