Luanda — National federations with modalities expected to participate in the games of the Portuguese-speaking Community (CPLP) scheduled from 26 July to 01 August in Brazil, will submit as from Thursday to the National Sports Department (DND) the invitation of pre-selections, working plan and list of demands.
This was announced on Monday in Luanda to ANGOP, by the national director of sports, Ricardo Raimundo, after holding a meeting with representatives of federations of football, handball, basketball, volleyball, field tennis and athletics for disabled people.
During the meeting the national federations were instructed on the issues related to the age.
According to Ricardo Raimundo, the competition is reserved for youths aged to 16 years old and 20 years old for disabled persons.
On the plans of the demands, the source referred that the national Department will analyse the proposals submitted by the federations, adding that there is possibility of the national representatives to conduct training at the local of competition in five to ten-day period.
The last edition was held in 2005 in the Angolan capital, under the motto "games of solidarity for the Portuguese speaking countries".
