The Zimbabwe Election Commission has released official results for 38 constituencies so far and its neck and neck with 19 each, for the ruling Zanu-PF party and the opposition MDC led by Morgan Tsvangirai.
Zanu-PF has won in the following constituencies.
Mhangura, Zvimba West, Zvimba East, Mudzi South, Maramba-Pfungwe, Gutu West, Goromonzi North, Murehwa North, Mutoko South, Murehwa South, Masvingo South, Harare South, Hwedza North, Uzumba, Marondera East, Marondera West, Mutoko North and Chipinge Central
The MDC led by Morgan Tsvangirai has won in Kadoma Central,
Chitungwiza North, Zaka West, Mazowe Central, Kuwadzana, Zaka Central, Masvingo Central, Southerton, Mabvuku-Tafara, Highfield West, Kuwadzana East, Mt Pleasant, Sunningdale, Makoni Central, Hatfield, Chipinge East, Chegutu West, Goromonzi West, Mutasa South, and Mutare Central
Unofficial reports from the MDC claim that the opposition has won a two-thirds majority in Parliament. A reliable source told us that out of the 210 seats, the MDC has won 155 seats, Zanu-PF have 40 and the remainder are shared by independents and candidates from the Arthur Mutambara led formation of the MDC.
