The Eritrean National Bidho Association held its 2nd congress from March 26 to 28 at the Assembly Hall of Orotta Hospital here in the capital.

Speaking at the opening session, the Minister of Health, Mr. Saleh Meki, noted the major accomplishments the Association has registered in awareness promotion campaigns, creating job opportunities for its members, opening branch offices in the country's different administrative, and the like.

The Chairman of the Association, Mr. Hagos Girmai, outlined the objectives and significance of the Association and presented a detailed report on the activities carried out in 2007.

Following discussion on the report, the participants of the congress made minor changes in the Association's constitution and elected an 11-member Executive Committee for the next 3 years.

Moreover, Mr. Saleh Meki called on the newly elected Executive Committee to work diligently in strengthening the regional branch offices.
