Angola: Female Squad Train for Cosafa Cup

The improvement of physical and technical aspects dominated this Tuesday at Cidadela Stadium, here, the training session of the national senior women team ahead of Cosafa Cup, scheduled for May 3-10, in the country.

The training session, led by the squad coach, Augusto Manuel, was based on combined plays and shots to the goalpost, finishing with a match.

The team started their training in February, after being interrupted due to the competition postponement (initially scheduled for March), after the national teams did not confirm their presence.

The head coach added that the squad will also train on Wednesday at Cidadela Stadium and Thursday in São Paulo.

Below is the list of the players:

Goalkeeper: Jú and Denise (Mártires), Santa (Terra Nova), Edite (Cabinda) and Ngueve (Benguela), these last two under observation.

Defenders: Mimi, Rita, Gui, Yolanda, Isack (Progresso do Sambizanga), Patrícia, Calisa (Fajeck), Piedade (Mártires) and Lídia (Terra Nova).

Relevant Links

Midfielders: osário e Lucocu (Mártires), Nadí, São (Fajeck), Sarita e Vero (Progresso) and Lilás (Terra Nova).

Strikers: Guigui, Irene e Pick (Progresso), Mila (Terra Nova), Tarcia (Amigas do 1º de Agosto) and Guet (Mártires).

The provinces of Benguela, Malanje, Huambo, Namibe and Kwanza Sul will host the regional Cosafa Cup.
