The minister of State and of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Zainul Abin Asheedr Monday here re-affirmed his country's interest in setting up and strengthening the economic and diplomatic ties with Angola. Addressing reporters, at Luanda's "4 Fevereiro" International Airport, upon returning to his country, the diplomat stated that the economic cooperation will be focussed on the domains of exploration of the forest, tourism, oil and trade, fields in which the Asian country has a lot of experience.

According to the minister, Angola has enormous potential, as it has been conducting many profitable businesses and winning top influential markets.

"Angola has the capacity to compete at the world's business market", added the minister.

During his three day-stay, Mr Zainul Abin Asheedr visited the province of Bengo and met with some government officials, including the prime minister, Fernando Dias dos Santos to whom he handed over a message from his country's president, Sellapan Ramanathan Nathan, inviting the Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, for a State visit to Singapore.
