Angola: Asturias Government Announces Plan for National Reconstruction

The Government of Asturias Principality (Spain) wants to establish an intense policy of cooperation with Angola in various dominions, with highlight to the national reconstruction process.
The general lines of this plan were presented Tuesday to the speaker of Angolan Parliament, Roberto de Almeida, during a meeting with a high level delegation led by the president of Asturias Principality, Vincente Àlvarez Aceres.
According to the official, to Spain, in general, and to the Government of Asturias, in particular, Angola is a political priority within Africa.
He said that in this priority it is intended to implement an intense policy linked to the reconstruction of the country, business-related operation according to strategies defined by the Angolan Government and the support to staff training and the youth in need.
Vincente Àlvarez Aceres stressed that his visit to Angola aims at deepening the political cooperation and improve institutional relation at all levels.

The Spanish official said also that during the audience with the speaker of National Assembly they exchanged views on political situation in Angola, namely the reconciliation process and the preparations for the holding of legislative elections next September and about the functioning of Asturian Parliament.
Vincente Àlvarez Aceres acknowledged the current hard work of national reconstruction, considering it as a promising one and of hope for a developed future.
The Principality of Asturias is an autonomous province of Spain, with a territorial extension of 10.604 square kilometres and less than one million inhabitants.
