Abuja — The main candidates for the April 12, repeat election in Adamawa, Murtala Nyako (PDP) and Ibrahim Bapetel (AC) have carried their campaigns to Nigeria-Cameroon border towns.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Nyako's train was at Pariya and Wuro-Bokki border towns facing the Cameroon Republic.
Nyako told supporters that he would provide viable road networks, drinking water, and functional education for them if re-elected.
He promised that he would liaise with the federal government to provide amenities to all communities living along the international boundary.
Nyako accompanied by Minister of State for Culture and Tourism, Idi Hong, Sen. Jibril Aminu and other party's elite urged the electorate to shun money politics.
He also urged them to shun religious, tribal and ethic politics and to turn out en mass and vote for him to enable him complete the viable projects he had started.
The PDP governorship candidate said that he would enhance the skills acquisition programme he had earlier embarked upon before his exit.
The Action Congress train led by Alhaji Ibrahim Bapetel, had also visited the southern border towns between Nigeria and Cameroon Republic.
