Lagos — The First Lady, Hayija Turai Umaru Yar'Adua, at the weekend, launched the Nigeria Girls' Education Initiative (NGEI) in Bauchi. Bukola Olatunji, who covered the event, reports

"Dan Allah, Dan Annabi, ku sa yayan mu mata a makaranta (I beg you in the name of Allah and His Prophet (Mohammad), enrol our girl children in school)." This was the passionate plea of the Nigerian First Lady, Hajiya Turai Umaru Yar'Adua after launching the state chapters of the Nigeria Girls' Education Initiative (NGEI) at the Bauchi Multi-Purpose Indoor Sports Hall, weekend.
