Angola: Peace And Stability Attract Spanish Interests

Angola's commercial representative to Spain, Miguel Catraio Tuesday here said that the period of peace and stability in the country is attracting greater interests from Spanish businessmen.

Miguel Catraio was speaking to ANGOP, at the end of a press conference granted by the President of the Spanish Principality of Asturias, Vicente Álvarez Areces, who ends his three-day visit to Angola.

He said that with peace and stability, various business groups and government officials are interested in looking for business opportunities in Angola.

The entity informed that businessmen of the chamber of commerce and industry of Barcelona are set to visit Angola this month. Other entrepreneurial communities, such as Castilla and La Mancha are also expected to visit the country.

Miguel Catraio considered Spain as a privileged partner of Angola.

Two agreements were signed recently. One of the agreement concerns the protection and projection of business sectors and the other relates to the financial field, although the monetary value was not disclosed.

The official said that his mission will continue striving too create more business partnerships between Angolan and Spanish individuals, with view to improve the population's living conditions.
