Angola: CIPE Co-Ordinator Considers First Day of Electoral Registration Positive

The co-ordinator of Inter-ministerial Commission for Electoral Process (CIPE), Virgílio de Fontes Pereira, considered positive this Wednesday, the updating of electoral registration in which 200 citizens to be 18 by the time of elections registered in Luanda province.

Virgílio de Fontes Pereira made this statement to the media, in Rangel district (Luanda), after a field work that included a visit to Sambizanga and Ingombota districts, to witness the electoral registration updating process, started in the country on Tuesday.

Virgílio de Fontes Pereira manifested disappointment also with the weak presence of inspectors from political parties, whom he appealed to encourage their inspectors to be present at the registration venue and follow closely the activity.

The electoral registration updating process ends on May 31, with an expectation of 350 thousand voters registering.
