CPDM militants in Santa have predicted death for all those who orchestrated the burning of the DO's office during the recent strike action.
Addressing fellow CPDM militants, on Saturday, March 29 at the party house in Santa, Mbei,Hon.Simon Achidi Achu, former PM and Central Committee member, called on all those responsible to go for cleansing or face dire consequences.
The Fon of Mbei on whose land the Santa DO's Office is corroborated Achidi by threatening that he was going to pour a libation on the matter and those who had not come for the cleansing would die.He said since he grew up he had not seen a thing like that.
Also speaking on the occasion, Jonathan Fru, Director of General Administration at the Ministry of Transport in Yaounde, who si Mbei Subsection President of the ruling CPDM, told Santa DO Abraham Chekem that he should count himself lucky that his office was burnt because it would now be better equipped than before. He called on Mbei youths to eschew violence because they can never derive any benefit from it.
In response, the DO thanked all those sacrificing for the construction of the new office and assured them that he would continue working towards development and peace in the Subdivision. All CPDM militants present were optimistic that they would soon be given a full division.John B.Ndeh,Mezam 11(Santa)CPDM Section President and former Transport Minister, donated a computer for the DO's office.
It should be recalled that Santa CPDM held a meeting two weeks ag at the residence of Achidi Achu and condemned the burning of the DO's residence, placing the blame squarely on the shoulders of SDF Chairman, Ni John Fru Ndi and his militants. On that occasion, the militants vowed to die as martyrs for the party, while at the same time promising the SDF hell.
