Sierra Leone: Facelift for Western Area Police Station

Freetown — Managing Director of P.T.N. Enterprise has completed and Thursday handed over the newly refurbished Western Area Police Station to the Sierra Leone Police in Freetown.

Ponsford T. Nimneh said he believes in developing communities across the country and observed that the good work of the police force cannot be overemphasized.

"We need to commend the relentless effort of the police for their service to the country," he said and added, "I didn't rehabilitate the police station because I have money. I did it because I believe in development." Nimneh said the police can only be a force for good if they receive the right information from the public. He noted that police officers are true patriots of the country.

He advised men and women of the police force to be respectful and continue to do the good work they have been doing.

Chairman of local policing partnership board, central division, Chief Mathew Younge said the police could only succeed in their sacred duties if they have full cooperation from the public.
