The Oriental Lodge #1 of the Masonic Craft of Liberia has made a huge donation to the Mother Mabel D. Davis Elementary & Jr. High School in Gardnerville.

Items donated to the Mother Mabel D. Davis School which is located in 'Day Break, Mouth Open', a Community on Barnesville Road include, several chairs, desks, and boxes of chalk among others.

In brief remarks when he presented the items to the school, the Worshipful Master of Oriental Lodge #1 of the Masonic Craft of Liberia, N. Oswald Tweh said the donation by his organization is a result of an appeal made to the Oriental Lodge by the school administration.

Mr. Tweh said following his visit at the school he observed that the school was in dire need of several things including roofing sheets, chairs, desks and educational materials. He said part of the works of Oriental Lodge is to carry out charitable works in every part of Liberia.

Mr. Tweh pointed out that the children are the future leaders of the country and as such, they must be catered to by giving them quality and sound education. He said the donation was Lodge's own way of identifying with students at the Mother Mabel Davis School who are in dire need of these items.

Receiving the items, the Principal of the school, Mr. Thomas M. Tennie lauded the oriental lodge #1 for the chairs and desks which, he said the school really need for the students.
