Eritrea: President Isaias Holds Talks With Italian Delegation

President Isaias Afwerki yesterday received and held talks with an Italian delegation headed by Prof. Massimo Toschi, Regional Minister for International Cooperation of the Tuscany region.

Expressing satisfaction with the growing historical ties between the people of Eritrea and Italy, especially that of Tuscany region, the President commended the step taken by the Tuscany region to construct a pediatrics hospital in Asmara.

Prof. Massimo Toschi on his part expressed appreciation to the hospitality accorded to the delegation and said that he would do his level best to further strengthen Eritrean-Italian relations.

It is to be noted that the delegation from the Tuscany region signed an agreement with the Ministry of Health on constructing a pediatrics hospital within the premises of the Orotta Hospital.
