Luanda — Angolan first division team of football, Saturday in Luanda beat Cape Verde's Sporting da Praia by 1-0, thus moving forward for the third and last stage of the qualifier for the African Champions League, Angop witnessed.
The sole goal of the match was scored by Minguito in the minute 90, at a time the qualifier seemed to be lost to the opponents, due to the 1-2 defeat in the first leg encounter in Cape verde.
The game was balanced as the two teams performed well. The host team missed a goal in a penalty kick by Pedro Henriques, and had to face the threat of defeat as the opponents fought bravely to the last minute of the game.
Sporting da Praia was about to open the score when a goals was annulled following an offside, in the minute 75.
Thus, Interclube is the only Angolan team that has managed to move forward in the African competitions, after Petro de Luanda, 1º de Agosto and 1º de Maio de Benguela were eliminated from the continental participations.
