The coach of Cape Verde's Sporting da Praia, Felisberto Cardoso, Sunday in Luanda (Angola) said that the 1-0 defeat to host Interclube was to be blamed on the referee that annulled a goal.

The coach who was speaking to the press at the end of the game qualifying for the African Champions League, said the goal was wrongly annulled as the players were not in an offside position.

Cape Verde's forward, Tigana, received a pass in the great penalty area and scored in the minute 72, but the referee from the Democratic Republic of Congo annulled the score.

"We have been eliminated but it is important that we have won experience not to make the same mistakes in future," he said.
