Bakgatla paramount chief-designate, Kgafela Kgafela has hailed Mochudi Centre Chiefs for being the only unbeaten side in the Premier League this season.

Chiefs enjoy the biggest following among Bakgatla. Since the league started, the Kgatleng giants have posted a 24-match unbeaten run. The sustained march to Magosi's first major soccer title has attracted thousands of supporters to games.

Kgafela said that it is too early to celebrate (pending last night's ruling by the Disciplinary Committee on Mara Moloi issue), but the club has made everybody associated with it proud. "The team has been fantastic and credit has to go to the management and supporters who have worked tirelessly for this achievement. This is the best team we have ever had in a long time. The past committees have tried to achieve this but for the current one to have done it has made me enormously proud," he said.

Kgafela said that since it will be the first time that Chiefs win the league title, the celebrations have to be planned properly. He said that he is going to have a meeting with elders and management in the weeks to come and agree on the way forward. Kgafela praised Bakgatla for rallying behind the club. "I have been impressed by the support the team has been getting. And I would like to thank them (supporters) for their behaviour during the games except the issue in Francistown (against ECCO City). I urge them to continue like that," said Kgafela.

Chiefs' communications officer, Clifford Mogomotsi said that they are going to sit down and form a committee to prepare a massive party. "At the stadium (tomorrow), we will just celebrate as usual but the main party will follow later," he said.
