OAK Foundation and Ethiopia-Aid donated a mobile unit and ambulance for children Aid-Ethiopia (CHAD-ET).

CHAD-ET is an indigenous non-governmental organization working for the protection of the rights and welfare of children found under different circumstance.

The NGO will use the ambulance to help victimized street children and women victims of sexual abuse while the mobile unit will boost provision of educational support for the community, including the street children, CHAD-ET's Program Director Anania Admassu, said during the handing over ceremony on Thursday.

Anania stressed that mobile unit will particularly be helpful in educational programs on the impact of HIV/AIDS on street children, children exposed to sexual exploitation, orphans and other vulnerable children, including the NGO's awareness raising activities through drama, music, films, etc.

Children Aid-Ethiopia (CHAD-ET) is among the five NGOs whose working relationships realized the need for a joint intervention and has been able to develop a full fledged program for three years entitled "Multi-sect oral Joint Project for the Prevention of and Rehabilitation from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children".

Each of the partner organizations has been given responsibilities depending on their areas of expertise.
