Francistown — GTV will launch four new channels in April, jam packed with African programming, kids' content, nature programmes and hit series from across the globe.
Having firmly asserted itself as the home of live sports, Africa's best loved and fastest-growing pay-TV company is expanding its high quality programming and blazing a trail across the continent with the introduction of four new channels.
The new offerings will include shows made and produced in Africa as well as brand new international entertainment and cutting edge documentaries.
The four new channels - whose names will be revealed at an official launch next week - will appear on the GTV bouquet alongside existing channels, including G Prime, the home of family entertainment in Africa, G Sports 1, G Sports 2 and GXtra. GTV subscribers will be able to view the new channels at no extra cost - now that's what we call value!
The launch of more channels is a testimony to the success of GTV. The revolutionary company only entered the market in mid-2007, promising to place consumer choice and value firmly at its centre. In less than twelve months GTV has quite literally transformed television viewing across the continent, bringing more choice and more value for money to millions of households.
Michael Essig, GTV Botswana's General Manager, comments: "We made a commitment when we launched and said that GTV would remain focused on offering better quality, better value and more choice as well as really listening to what consumers want. The very exciting launch of our new channels is one example of how we continue to deliver on that commitment and we'll keep giving more, so watch this space!"
More details of the channel launches are expected in an official announcement next week. But there's clearly no better time to join to the GTV revolution.
