THE Police in the North have arrested nine people in connection with the theft of two gambling machines that were recovered over the weekend.

According to the Oshana Police commander, Deputy Commissioner Ndahangwapo Kashihakumwa, the Police had information about a syndicate of thieves who sell stolen goods in Angola.

The jackpot machines were also destined for Angola, he said.

He said there were 10 suspects, but one ran away when the others were arrested.

The Police also seized two cutting torches and two bolt cutters, believed to have been used during burglaries, from the arrested men.
