THE Police are conducting two murder and two inquest investigations after two fatal stabbings and two suspected suicides in central Namibia on Friday and Saturday.

According to the Namibian Police's Public Relations and Liaison Division, a stabbing claimed the life of Hermanus Khubeb, age unknown, at Klein Aub southwest of Rehoboth on Friday.

The suspect is known, but no arrest had been made by Sunday afternoon, Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Timotheus Haikonda said in Windhoek on Sunday.

At Okahandja, 17-year-old Michael de Klerk died at Lukas Shebeen in the Nau-Aib residential area at about 02h00 on Saturday, after four suspects had stabbed him with a panga, Haikonda also announced.

The suspects had been arrested, he said.

An inquest investigation has been started in Windhoek after Alfeus Amakali, age unknown, allegedly hanged himself with a piece of wire from a shack roof in Katutura around 12h15 on Friday.

A similar investigation has been opened after 35-year-old Pieter Prinsloo allegedly shot himself with a pistol at the business premises of a tour operator, Be Local Tourism Service, in Prosperita in Windhoek on Saturday, Haikonda also announced.
