Angola: Golf - Female Team Represents Country in All Africa Challenge Trophy

A female team of golf, comprising an Angolan and two French will represent the country in the "All Africa Challenge Trophy" scheduled to take place from April 24 to May 6 this year, in Cairo, Egypt, Angop learnt Tuesday from Luanda Golf Club.

The team that has as its Captain Angolan Fatima Duarte, and two French women, Martine Oneto and Anna Cogrel, will leave the country on April 23 for the event.

According to the head of the Luanda Golf Club, Manuel Barros, who confirmed the engagement and dedication of the players during training sessions, the team is fit to represent Angola in an appropriate way.

In 2006, the national senior women team of golf, comprising Ana Ramos and Fátima Duarte, attended for the first time the "All Africa Challenge Trophy and All Africa Championship", in Zambia, and came 18th, in a competition with the participation of 100 golf players from around Africa.
