Angola: Benguela - Public Business Secretary Visits Companies

Benguela

The Angolan secretary of State for the Public Business Sector, Augusto da Silva Tomás, who arrived Tuesday in central Benguela province, is visiting the Lobito Port, Benguela Railway (CFB) and Lobinave, all in Lobito.

According to the programme of visit that reached Angop, the Government official will also visit Lobito water company and attend the opening of a course of modern management, run by officials of public companies from Benguela, Huíla, Kwanza Sul and Namibe provinces.

On his last day of visit (Wednesday), Augusto da Silva Tomás will also tour the Benguela water company and Emateb (school materials distributor), both situated in the province's capital city.

This is the first visit of that government official to Benguela since appointed secretary of State for the Public Business sector, in January 2007.
