The three Cameroonian club sides involved in continental competitions, have the hardest nut to crack.

Cameroonian clubs may have accomplished the exploit of all qualifying for the 8th finals of the various competitions they are involved in, but the most difficult is yet to come. Draws for the African Champions league and the African Confederations Cup, show that Cotonsport of Garoua will be having the hardest knock to crack at this stage of the competition.

Cotonsport is scheduled to play against an old timer in the competition, JS Kabylie of Algeria.

JS Kabylie is one of only two African clubs who have won all of Africa's annual club competitions, alongside Tunisia's Esperance. JSK, then known as JE Tizi Ouzou, were African Champions Cup winner in 1981 and after they had changed their name added the 1990 edition to their bow. Success in the African Cup Winners' Cup came five years later and then followed a string of three successive CAF Cup success from 2000 to 2002, which allowed them to keep the Moshood Abiola trophy.

In the African Confederations Cup, Mount Cameroon will be playing against another football giant on the continent, El Merrikh. The club has been dominating Sudanese football for over a decade. They won the African Cup Winner's Cup once in 1989 and were the runners-ups in the African Confederations' Cup in 2007. Needless to say the club will be trying to perform better this year than they did last year and Mount Cameroon could be one of their victims along the way showed care not be taken;

Astres of Douala on her part faces a somehow lighter challenge from ASV football club of Uganda. Though ASV is Uganda's leading and most prosperous club, the club had financial difficulties to embark on its African campaign, prompting government support to enable them to carry on. However, gone are the days when there were underdogs in football and the winner of an encounter could be deciphered only from the fixtures. Astres has therefore to keep its guard to avoid any unpleasant surprises as teamsdo not reach this level of the competition by luck.
