At least two people were killed and thirty eight houses have collapsed in central Bie province, after heavy rain that has hit the region.

Speaking to ANGOP, the provincial commander of fire-brigade in Kuito city, José Pinto, said that an electrical discharge has claimed the lives of two people and wounded several others.

José Pinto assured that the provincial government, through a commission created to assist the victims, has been supporting the families devastated by the rains by providing them with essential aid.
