Huambo — At least sixty two new cases of HIV/AIDS were diagnosed from January to March of this year in Huambo city, by Elavoko Voluntary Testing and Counselling Centre.
Speaking to the Angolan News Agency (Angop) on Tuesday, the head of the centre, Conceição Ferreira, said that during this period about 692 people were tested, being 661 adults of both sexes, including 21 pregnant women and 31 children.
Conceição Ferreira informed that the majority of the cases were reported in February, with 27 HIV/AIDS positive people, from 259 tests, comparing to 229 cases registered in January with 18 HIV/AIDS positive people and March with 17 people tested positive out of 211 people.
