Satyam Satyanarayana "It is easy for foreign investors to come and settle in Mauritius" "I have been in Mauritius for about 21/2 years. I have been in the IT sector where I provide sales and maintenance services. I like Mauritius. Mauritians are nice people. I also like the weather in Mauritius. What I have not liked is the transport services here. It is sometimes difficult, especially when you have to do some work. It's difficult to get the transport easily. I think that we must really improve the transport system here.

The Mauritian culture is really nice. It is very similar to that of India. The people here do speak Hindi. I feel as if I'm in India. There is a mixture of European culture also but we can manage. We have to adjust but it's ok. The political system also is good in Mauritius.

However, the insecurity problem is on the rise in Mauritius. Many people are victims of thefts, especially of mobile phones. Compared to before, the situation is becoming worse. It is not safe to roam alone and at night in Mauritius.

Mauritius is developing and there is a boom in the IT sector. I think that Mauritius has very good potentials. It is easy for foreign investors and foreign companies, to come in Mauritius and make a stand and compete with others. The business climate is good enough.

However, whether to continue to stay here or not will depend on my business. If the business continues to prosper, I shall stay here, otherwise I'll go back to India. It is also because India is more advanced and developed in terms of technology and progress made, that I would like to go back to India."
