Monrovia

Efforts aimed at sensitizing the Public on the effect of the deadly HIV/AIDS and violence against women continue to gain momentum in and around the city of Monrovia.

Using peer educators, musicians and other local artists, the Crusaders for Peace has been moving from one community to another spreading the message through songs, drama and distributing condoms.

The exercise which will be climaxed by a major musical concert is to be convened at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) on April 15, and according to 'show biz' experts, it is expected to be a show that would bring almost all of Liberia's local artists together in one basket.

Under the leadership of Liberia's Culture Ambassador, Julie Endee, the April 15 Show will be free for all, irrespective of color, creed or religious affiliation and it will be the scene of a special honoring ceremony for Mother Mary Brownell for her tireless contributions to girls' education and service to humanity.

During the recent sensitization exercise, the Crusaders for Peace crew educated people about the effects and the prevention of HIV/AIDS at the Red-light, the Somalia Drive, Claratown, Logantown and New Kru Town.
