A total of 191 people tested for different diseases at the Makgabaneng health fair held in Sebina last week.

Project coordinator for 'Makgabaneng' serial drama, Moratiwa Mangwegape says they were impressed with the way people turned out. "We were very impressed with the way people were cooperating with us and taking responsibility for their health," said.

As a way of 'taking services to the people' Makgabaneng invited several organisations for a health fair at Sebina last week. Mangwegape says Tebelopele tested 46 people for HIV and BDF tested 11 people for HIV. She said that testing was also impressive for illnesses like diabetes and eye infections. "Nyangabwe Referral Hospital tested 44 people for eye problems. Seventeen passed. 20 needed treatment and seven needed spectacles," she said.

Mangwegape said that Sebina Clinic tested 60 people for sugar diabetes and 30 people for oral health. Other groups that were at the fair are MVA, Department of Transport and Road Safety, Tutume Hospital, Eye Clinic and Medrescue.

Mangwegape says they were also impressed with the older people of the village as they were up to date with the issues.
