Luanda — A book entitled "Angola: Agriculture and Food", by Angolan Joao Ferreira Neto, was released Wednesday in Luanda, Angop witnessed.
According to the author, the 500-page book follows his doctorate degree in "Agriculture and Development" and tells about the country's past and present agriculture and presents statistics of how imported products can affect national production.
To the Angolan minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Afonso Pedro Kanga, this work is like a childbirth that will not only benefit Angola, but also Africa as a whole.
"Agriculture is a weapon in the fight against poverty and famine in Angola. If we don't fight famine and poverty, there will be no education and development", said Afonso Kanga.
